The EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, will begin a two-day visit to the United Arab Emirates on Saturday to discuss bilateral relations with the Emirati authorities in the framework of the Sir Bani Yas Forum.
The visit, which will end on Sunday, «will provide an opportunity to further revitalize the EU-UAE bilateral relationship» and also «to exchange with policy and opinion makers on regional issues and global affairs.»
During his visit, Borrell will hold several bilateral meetings, starting this Saturday with his meeting with Emirati Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nayan.
Borrell will also hold a meeting with Emirati presidential adviser Anwar Gargash, as well as «meetings with other high-level participants of the Forum,» the European Union’s External Action Service said in a statement.
