Zelenski calls for serenity and reminds that Ukrainian soldiers die with every Russian step backwards

Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky has appealed to the population to be calm and to lower their spirits over the latest achievements of the country’s Army on the frontline, assuring that with every step backwards taken by Russia, Ukrainian soldiers lose their lives.

«Today there is a lot of joy in the information space, and it is clear why. But our emotions should be restrained, always during the war,» the Ukrainian leader urged in his daily message to the Ukrainian population.

Zelensky said that he does not want to «feed the enemy» by giving details about the Ukrainian operations on the open fronts in the south and east of the country, because when the result is known, «everyone will see it».

Therefore, and although it does not sound like «what people expect now», the Ukrainian president reminded that the Russian Army «does not give gifts» and that every piece of land «liberated» costs people’s lives.

«The enemy does not give us gifts, does not make ‘goodwill gestures’. We choose all this. And when you are fighting, you must understand that at every step there is always resistance from the enemy, it is always the loss of the lives of our heroes,» Zelensky has asserted.

Therefore, the Ukrainian head of state advocated continuing to liberate «all our land» with «great care, without emotions».

«This will be the result of our efforts, our defense operations. Those which are currently underway, those which we are still planning,» he added.
