U.S. President Joe Biden on Wednesday began a meeting with the leaders of several allied countries to discuss the explosion in Poland involving two Russian-made missiles that claimed the lives of two people.

In the midst of the G20 summit being held these days in Bali, Indonesia, the U.S. President has summoned to an emergency meeting the heads of state and government of the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, Japan, as well as the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and the President of the European Council, Charles Michel.

In addition to Von der Leyen and Michel, the meeting was attended by the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Rishi Sunak; the French President, Emmanuel Macron; the Prime Minister of Spain, Pedro Sánchez; the German Chancellor, Olaf Scholz; the Italian Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni; the Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Mark Rutte; and the Prime Minister of Japan, Fumio Kishida.

The White House has informed that Biden has gathered world leaders to discuss the explosion that took place this Tuesday in the Polish town of Przewodow, which is located on the Ukrainian border, and which has been attacked by two Russian-made missiles, as explained by the Polish Presidency.

Although the issues discussed by the heads of state and government of the different countries have not been disclosed so far, the United States has let it be known that the leaders will support an investigation to clarify what happened in Poland, fearing that it is due to a Russian attack on a NATO member.
