The Ukrainian Armed Forces said Tuesday that about 85,000 Russian servicemen have been killed in action, including 400 over the past day, since the start of the military offensive launched on February 24 on the orders of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The Ukrainian Army General Staff has indicated that «about 85,000» Russian servicemen «have been liquidated,» before adding that 2,895 battle tanks, 1,882 artillery systems, 209 anti-aircraft defense systems and 395 self-propelled and armored multiple rocket launchers have also been destroyed.

It has also indicated in a message on its Facebook account that 278 airplanes, 261 helicopters, 1,537 drones, 480 cruise missiles, 16 ships, 4,393 vehicles and fuel tanks and 161 pieces of special equipment have been destroyed.

«The Russian enemy has suffered the heaviest losses over the past day in the directions of Bajmut and Liman,» he detailed. «The data is being updated. Hit the occupier. Let’s win together. Our strength is in the truth,» he has concluded.

Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski noted nearly two weeks ago in a CNN interview that Moscow has lost «ten times» more military personnel than Kiev since the start of the invasion, while the United States spoke of «more than 100,000 casualties» Russian dead and wounded, before adding that the numbers among the Ukrainian ranks «are probably similar.»
