The perpetrator of last Tuesday’s shooting at a supermarket in the U.S. city of Chesapeake, Virginia, in which six people were killed, left a note explaining that he had been harassed by his co-workers.

Andre Bing, 31, bought the gun he used in the shooting that same day in the morning, leaving a note in which he described complaints against several people in his life, including his colleagues at the supermarket where he worked, CNN reported.

«My co-workers laughed at me and said I was like Jeffrey Dahmer (a famous serial killer). I would never have killed anyone who came into my house,» reads the note from the gunman.

«I wish I could have saved everyone from myself (…) My God, forgive me for what I am about to do,» continues Bing’s letter, as disseminated by the Chesapeake City Council on the social network Twitter.

Asked about the note, the supermarket –of the well-known US chain Walmart–, has stated that «there is nothing that can justify taking innocent lives–, affirming that its focus remains on the families who are grieving and on supporting its associates «in this difficult time».

The attacker carried out the shooting last Tuesday killing six people, which later rose to seven when he committed suicide.

The local police chief, Mark Solesky, indicated that the perpetrator of the shooting was a worker of the supermarket chain itself, highlighting the quick police action.
