The President of Argentina, Alberto Fernandez, has accepted on Tuesday the resignation presented by Alexis Guerrera as Minister of Transport for «strictly personal» reasons, and has appointed Diego Giuliano as the new Minister in charge of the area.
According to official sources, Guerrera’s resignation would be related to health issues. Fernández, on the other hand, has thanked the «enormous task» performed by the former minister, as stated by the presidential spokesperson, Gabriela Cerruti, on Twitter.
The person appointed to take the reins of the Transport portfolio has been Giuliano, who until now served as secretary of the area, with which the government seeks to guarantee «the continuity of the modernization plan», reports Télam.
