Former Russian President and current Vice-President of the Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, has accused the Atlantic Alliance of being a «criminal organization» and called for its dissolution, as well as for it to repent to humanity for its decisions.
«From the moment of its formation, NATO has repeatedly demonstrated its purely closed corporate essence, acting in the interests of a handful of Anglo-Saxon countries and their cronies,» Medvedev has asserted on his personal Telegram channel.
He also reproached that the organization does not even represent 12 percent of the world’s population, so «the civilized world does not need this organization.» «Not even the highest pontiff will be able to absolve them of their sins,» Medvedev remarked.
In his publication, the former Russian president criticized NATO’s support for Ukraine when this is an organization that, he says, has committed coups «in sovereign countries all over the world,» deposing legitimate heads of state and killing «thousands of civilians.»
Finally, Medvedev gave his own interpretation of the words of NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, who on Thursday stressed the preservation of Ukraine as a sovereign state.
In this regard, the Russian leader pointed out that Stoltenberg did not refer to territorial integrity, which, according to him, would mean that Ukraine «will win, but in the new territorial limits».
Russia annexed the Ukrainian regions of Donetsk, Lugansk, Kherson and Zaporiyia after a series of referendums held in September but never recognized by the international community.
