The mayor of Moscow, Sergei Sobyanin, reported Friday that he has gone to the «line of defense» of the war in Ukraine, and assured that the atmosphere there «is one of struggle».

As detailed by the mayor of the Russian capital on his Telegram channel, the Army is now engaged in work to reinforce the defensive lines, where anti-tank trenches and trenches are being dug.

Sobyanin also reported that Moscow is ensuring electricity and heating supplies to the Russian outposts, where medical posts are also being built.

«I visited the area today. I have talked to builders and servicemen. I have met fighters mobilized from Moscow. The atmosphere is that of fighting,» acknowledged the capital’s mayor, who stressed that among the Russian ranks there are many citizens of Moscow.

In this sense, he assured that the orders of partial mobilization, decreed on September 21 by the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, were fully complied with. After the conclusion of this recruitment operation, Russia confirmed that 300,000 people had joined its ranks.

Finally, Sobyanin has guaranteed his collaboration with the Russian Ministry of Defense, to whom he will continue to provide logistical support.
