Some 300 Argentine fans celebrated Argentina’s 3-0 victory over Croatia in the center of Barcelona on Tuesday night, making them the first finalists of the World Cup in Qatar.
Since the end of the qualifying round, groups of fans have gone to the Arc de Triomf, on Passeig Lluís Companys, to celebrate the victory of the Argentine national team, where they have reached about 1,000 fans after 23.00 hours.
The fans, of all ages and with team shirts and Argentine flags, have chanted slogans like ‘I’m Argentine, it’s a feeling and I can not stop’ and ‘English the one who does not bounce’ and have jumped and danced in a festive tone.
Argentina has won the first ticket to the World Cup final after beating Croatia thanks to goals by Leo Messi and Julian Alvarez — author of a brace — after a match in which Lionel Scaloni’s team dominated from start to finish against an opponent that saw its chances reduced to a minimum.
