Former U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed Thursday that the «major announcement» he has been talking about in recent days is the launch of a collection of digital stickers with his image.
Although the U.S. media warned of the possibility that the announcement was related to the campaign for the 2024 presidential election, the tycoon has finally brought to light a new ramification for his business, reports The Hill.
The former president has defined these digital cards as «art» and has compared them to the traditional baseball player cards, typical in the United States, but «much more exciting». Each card with the figure of the former president will have a value of 99 dollars.
Trump’s announcement has generated derision among his detractors, including the current occupant of the White House, Joe Biden, who posted on his personal Twitter profile: «I also had some important announcements in recent weeks».
Biden then highlighted the drop in inflation and gasoline prices, the signing of a law guaranteeing the protection of same-sex marriage, the release of basketball player Brittney Griner, or the creation of 10,000 new jobs in Arizona.
