The President of Argentina, Alberto Fernández, has assured that for the last three years they have been building «the foundations of a country that includes everyone and allows them to develop their life projects», criticizing that the opposition «does not appreciate democracy» but wants «a country for the few».
This was stated by the President in a video he shared on his social networks, commenting on some words of former President Mauricio Macri in which he assures that Argentine society «clearly, must be the most failed society of the last 70 years», «What future can a country have that has a former president traveling around the world saying that his people are the most failed society of the last 70 years», said Fernández in his message, as reported by Télam.
«Failed the society with the best public health in the continent? With a public education that gave five Nobel prizes? Failed the society that judged and condemned the genocides? Failed the society that recovered democracy with the cry of ‘Never Again’ and defended it forever? Failed the society that was always at the forefront in rights for all the working people?», asked the Argentine president.
According to Fernandez, the «sons and daughters of the homeland» make «a better Argentina» driven by the strength of the country’s history, which he classified as a history of collective victories, of dreams realized, of social justice, of national pride «everywhere in the world».
He also stressed that «this Argentina does not leave its people adrift», but reaches out to them, since Argentine society is «solidary and fraternal».
He also stressed that those who try to discourage the country’s population speak of Argentina’s history as «a failure», adding that they are «those who do not appreciate democracy, those who want a country for the few».
For the head of state, the Argentine people are «wonderful» and offer «everything for a better future». «A future that has already begun. There is much more to live. Let’s do it together,» he reiterated in the text with which he shared the video on Twitter.
