Mexico’s security forces have reported that the search for three journalists who have been kidnapped in the state of Guerrero continues with the collaboration of the Army and the National Guard.
The journalists, Jesús Pintor Alegre, Fernando Moreno Villegas and Alan García Aguilar, have been missing for more than fifteen days in the Tierra Caliente region, where they were allegedly kidnapped by a criminal group operating in the area, according to information from the newspaper ‘Reforma’.
The Mexican Attorney General’s Office has indicated that the search and location operation is being carried out with the participation of the Special Prosecutor’s Office for Forced Disappearance and Search for Disappeared Persons.
The NGO Reporters Without Borders (RSF) indicated earlier this week on its Twitter account that the three have been missing since December 27. Subsequently, the organization Periodistas Desplazados Mexico released a video showing the journalists in chains.
