Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski said Thursday that there is already a coalition of twelve countries on sending tanks to Kiev and reiterated that Russian aggression can only be stopped «with the right weapons.»
The Ukrainian leader thanked Canada for announcing the dispatch of four Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine. «Only weapons neutralize terrorists. And I am grateful to all those who really oppose terror together with us,» he added, UNIAN news agency reported.
He also referred to the latest attacks on Ukrainian soil, which confirm, according to Zelenski, what was discussed with the partners both yesterday and the other days since the beginning of the «diplomatic marathon».
«Today there were rocket hits. Unfortunately, there are wounded and there are dead. My condolences to all the relatives and friends,» Zelenski said in view of the various attacks that have resulted in at least eleven deaths in various regions of the country.
