At least 17 people have been killed and more than 20 injured in the town of Kohat in northwest Pakistan after a passenger bus collided with a trailer, local authorities have said.
The accident took place near a tunnel connecting the town of Kohat with the municipality of Indus, the emergency services said in a statement on the social network Facebook.
«Seventeen people, including children and women, were killed when a passenger bus collided head-on with a trailer near the Kohat tunnel,» a spokesman for Rescue 1122 Kohat told Arab News.
Also, the more than 20 people who were injured have been taken to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
Images shared by Rescue 1122 Kohat show an overturned bus as emergency services rescue the people inside.
