U.S. President Joe Biden confessed Wednesday that he has yet to make a decision on whether to run in the 2024 presidential election, reiterating that he is in good health should he decide to do so.

Asked in an interview with the PBS network about the concern shown within the Democratic Party about the fact that Biden will be 82 years old in the next elections, the president defended that he is in good health.

«Look at me, that’s all I can say,» said Biden, confirming that he believes he intends to run again for the White House, although he still has to think about it.

In this sense, he has maintained that it would be «completely honest» with the American people if he thought he had some health problem that would prevent him from being able to do the job, he said in the interview.

Biden and his team have repeatedly affirmed the president’s willingness to run for president in November 2024, although he has never made an official announcement. Among the Democrats there are voices that point to the high age of the president as a problem, urging that younger profiles be sought for the elections.

So far, former President Donald Trump has been the only person to officially present his candidacy for the 2024 elections, affirming his intentions to «make America great and glorious again».
