French carmaker DS has announced a new engine branch for their reference model DS9. It’s a new step on their strategy to become the first brand in Stellantis group to be fully electrified.
DS has announced two new plug In Hybrid engines for the new DS9. Those engines will have up to 70 Km full-electric urban mode and 26g/km CO2 emissions in WLTP cycle.
The new engines will be available for the top-end terminations Performance Line+ and Rivoli +, including all wheel traction and a new transmission and suspension setup made by DS Performance Team, winner of Formula E championship in 2019 and 2020.
Both versions will include DS Active Scan suspension, a system that scans the road ahead the car to anticipate bumps and irregularities and set the suspension system to avoid discomfort and prevent issues.
The models will equip a 200HP petrol engine and two electric engines: one in the front axis with 110 HP and the second over the rear axis with 113 HP.
Homologated fuel consumption is 1,8 l/100 km.with 41 g/km C02 emissions.
Prices start at 67.700 euros for DS E-Tense 4×4 360 Performance Line and from 69.600 for DS9 E-Tense 4×4 360 Rivoli
The other termination DS E-Tense 250 will equip a Petrol engine with 200HP and one electric engine of 110 HP. The máximum range in pure electric mode will be 70km.
Homologated petrol consumption is 1,1 l/ 100 Km and just 26 g/ km of C02 emissions.
