The permanent delegation of the Verkhovna Rada, the Ukrainian parliament, will boycott the work of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) because of its reluctance to expel Russian representatives, one of its members, Yevgenia Kravchuk, has said.
«From today, we, the Ukrainian delegation, are boycotting the work in the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly until this international organization can form its attitude to the participation of Russians, propagandists and representatives of a terrorist state, a criminal state,» she said as reported by the Ukrainian agency UNIAN.
This announcement came after this body refused on Friday to change its rules in order to expel the Russian delegation, which was strongly rejected by the Ukrainian representatives.
However, the Moscow delegates had not obtained a visa to participate in this meeting held in the Polish city of Warsaw, so they had said that they would oppose any change in the procedure to be carried out in this meeting.
