South Korean Justice Minister Han Dong Hoon on Monday lashed out at a group of ‘youtubers’ who tried to break into his home and accused them of being «gangsters».
His words come a day after five individuals, known for having a channel on the YouTube platform, tried to break into his home in southern Seoul, the capital, on Sunday afternoon.
The five reportedly tried to open the door before leaving the area almost two minutes later as they believed no one was in the property. However, Han, his wife and son were still in the apartment, according to Yonhap news agency.
Han has filed a complaint with the police for trespassing and other related offenses. «Nowadays there are agencies like Tamsa TV that are playing gangsters. Can anything be tolerated if it is done in the name of news coverage?» he warned.
The YouTube channel is precisely under investigation after its members followed the minister for almost a month when he was returning home from work.
