A Turkish opposition deputy had to be hospitalized Tuesday after being injured in a fight with pro-government deputies in the country’s parliament, which is located in the capital Ankara.
The opposition Huseyin Ors, from the Iyi party, was admitted to hospital after a fight with deputies from the ruling Development and Justice Party (AKP) of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Ors has been admitted to the intensive care unit after suffering a cardiac arrhythmia following a heavy blow that knocked him to the ground, according to information from the ‘Demiroren’ news agency.
Before the fight, the deputies of both parliamentary groups were arguing during a debate on the budget, although the causes of the fight have not been revealed for the moment.
