
The President of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, met this Friday at the Miraflores Palace with representatives of the opposition political party Fuerza Vecinal, all this in the midst of the recent open dialogue between the Government and the opposition forces.
In the meeting, which is part of the dialogue promoted by the Government and the opposition, Maduro has emphasized that this type of meetings allows to advance «along paths of understanding», as detailed in a statement of the ruling United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV).
«We are definitely heading towards welfare and stability», said the Venezuelan president about the meetings with the opposition.
For his part, the president of the Venezuelan National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez, affirmed that, «independently of the very different way of thinking between the Neighborhood Force and the Bolivarian Revolution», in democracy and in politics, factors «sit down, discuss, exchange proposals and eventually reach agreements.
The meeting was attended, among others, by the national spokesman of Fuerza Vecinal and Mayor of Chacao, Gustavo Duque.
Through work tables, which will be extended until early January, representatives of the Government and the opposition are discussing an agenda of prioritized issues with future projection, holding meetings with the Venezuelan President.
