FBI agents have begun a search of the home of U.S. President Joe Biden in the state of Delaware, as part of investigations into the discovery of classified documents in two other properties linked to the current occupant of the White House.
The authorities have already located documents in a house in Wilmington and in an office in Washington, corresponding to Biden’s stage as ‘number two’ of Barack Obama’s Administration. Now, the investigations extend to another property in Rehoboth Beach, according to sources quoted by NBC News.
The scandal has called into question Biden’s handling of allegedly protected material and has given wings to the Republicans, who have used the case to denounce a double standard, after the accusations made last year against former President Donald Trump for also keeping documents.
