Two »terrorist» militiamen and a military officer have been killed in clashes in the last few hours in the Waziristan region of western Pakistan, according to military sources.
On Saturday there was »an exchange of fire between our troops and terrorists in the Razmak region of North Waziristan province,» the army said in a statement reported by the newspaper Dawn.
»Our troops attacked a terrorist hideout and as a result one terrorist has been sent to hell,» the military statement stressed. Weapons and ammunition were seized at the site.
In another »violent clash» in Karama, South Waziristan, »our troops attacked a terrorist hideout and killed one terrorist.» »However, during the heavy gunfight Naik Fazak Yanan after struggles bravely achieved martyrdom,» the Army has narrated.
Another statement reported two more »terrorists» killed and one arrested in an operation in Balochistan, specifically in the Mach region, involved in extorting money from the owners of a nearby coal mine.
