Former U.S. President Donald Trump has officially filed his candidacy for the 2024 presidential election stating his intentions to «make America great and glorious again.»
«In order to make America great and glorious again, tonight I am announcing my candidacy for president of the United States,» Trump has asserted from his Florida residence of Mar-a-Lago.
«Two years ago, when I left the White House, America, was ready for my golden age,» said the former US president, listing some of the achievements of his administration, such as the measures carried out during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Trump had been hinting for weeks about his plans to run in the Republican primaries and had confirmed his plans to make «a big announcement» as early as Tuesday.
