At least one policeman has been killed and four others wounded in an attack by Russian forces on a police vehicle in the Kherson region of southern Ukraine in the face of increased shelling by Russian troops.
The head of the Mikolaiv region police, Serhi Shaijet, has indicated that the fatal victim is an officer of the police force of the mentioned region, who was in the district of Berislav when the attack took place.
Thus, he identified the fatal victim as Yuri Jiyinski, 29 years old, who «died on the spot». Four other officers have been injured, one of them seriously. «Doctors are struggling to save his life,» he said.
