The Polish authorities have denounced on Monday that several government websites have suffered cyber-attacks perpetrated over the weekend allegedly by Russian hackers.
Among the websites affected is that of the Polish Army Counterintelligence Service, as well as the page of the Dezamet company, related to the military industry, according to information from the PAP news agency.
Attempts to block important websites of state or government-related institutions take place almost daily. This activity is mainly carried out by Russian hackers using primitive tools,» said Stanislav Zharin, spokesman for the coordinator of the Interior Ministry’s special services.
In this sense, he pointed out that the attacks are perpetrated by Russian working groups such as Killnet or NoNa057. »They are teams of hackers controlled by the Russian secret services and who carry out a cyber war against the West», he asserted.
Thus, he admitted that there are »short-term problems with the functioning of the Counterintelligence page», although he assured that the problem has been neutralized as part of the »effective» work of the Polish forces.
