The authorities of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic denounced Monday that three people have been killed and about 40 wounded in attacks perpetrated during the last day by the Ukrainian Army, in the framework of the war unleashed by the invasion order given on February 24 by the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin.

The office of the Donetsk People’s Republic at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of the Ceasefire has indicated that three people were killed in the town of Amvrosievsky and noted that the attack was carried out with a HIMARS (High Mobility Artillery Rocket System), which are multiple rocket launchers mounted on light armored vehicles.

He also stressed that «all the victims are volunteers of the Public Youth Organization of the Republic who were at the site of the attack on a humanitarian mission to provide aid to the population», as reported by the Russian news agency TASS.

Putin recognized the independence of the self-proclaimed republics of Donetsk and Lugansk days before ordering the start of the military offensive in Ukraine. These republics, located in the Donbas region (east), had been at the epicenter of a conflict since 2014.
