Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky has claimed that Russian forces destroyed all critical infrastructure before leaving Kherson in order to taunt the people as much as possible, so he has pledged to restore all kinds of communication, water supply, heating and electricity infrastructures.

However, he then explained that the time has not yet come to carry out these works and asked the population to be careful and not to check the buildings independently, nor the objects left by the Russian occupants, during his daily speech.

Zelenski has detailed that there are ten groups of experts working on defusing all kinds of explosives and they have already neutralized a total of 2,000 between mines, trip wires and unused ammunition. The president regretted that one of the sappers was wounded this Saturday during one of these exercises in an administrative building.

He also said that this Saturday afternoon the Ukrainian forces have recovered 60 settlements in Kherson region, where the police have started to take stabilization measures, which are also underway in the city, and expressed his joy over the broadcasting of the video where the citizens happily welcome their troops.

He also acknowledged the work of all the military personnel who have made the liberation of this region possible and assured that «it is already clear to everyone that the result will be ours (favorable to Ukraine)».
