The Ukrainian Armed Forces claimed Tuesday to have killed more than 700 Russian servicemen in fighting over the past day and raised the total number of Russian soldiers killed since the start of the invasion to more than 82,000.
The General Staff of the Ukrainian Army has indicated in a message on its account on the social network Facebook that «about 82,080» Russian military have been «liquidated» since the beginning of the hostilities, unleashed on February 24 by the invasion order given by the Russian president, Vladimir Putin.
He added that since the beginning of the war, 2,861 tanks, 1,850 artillery systems, 208 anti-aircraft defense systems and 393 self-propelled and armored multiple rocket launchers have been destroyed.
In this line, he stressed that 278 airplanes, 261 helicopters, 1,511 drones, 399 cruise missiles, 4,351 vehicles and fuel tanks and 160 pieces of «special equipment» have also been destroyed.
«The data are being updated,» the Ukrainian Army General Staff stressed. «Hit the occupier. Let’s win together. Our strength is in the truth,» it has zanelled in its balance sheet, published against the background of the territorial advances of the last weeks by the Kiev forces.
Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski noted last week in a CNN interview that Moscow has lost «ten times» more military personnel than Kiev since the start of the invasion, while the United States spoke of «more than 100,000 casualties» Russian dead and wounded, before adding that the figures among Ukrainian ranks «are probably similar.»
