Ukrainian authorities have accused Russian troops of shelling a maternity ward of a hospital in Zaporiyia where a newborn baby reportedly died.
The head of the Zaporiyia Regional State Administration, Alexander Starukh, reported early this morning that Russian troops reportedly fired «huge rockets» at a small maternity ward of Vilnius Hospital.
«Pain fills our hearts: a baby who has just appeared in the world has been killed,» lamented Starukh, who reported that emergency services are at the scene of the incident.
The air alert was launched in the region at around 02.00 (local time), while the attack took place half an hour later.
