The social network Twitter has suspended the account on the platform of rapper Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, after he posted an image of a Star of David with a Nazi swastika inside, all hours after saying on a well-known conspiracist’s show that he likes Hitler.
This has been announced by the owner of Twitter himself, Elon Musk, who has assured that the musician has violated the normal of the social network for incitement to violence.
«I’ve done the best I could. Despite that, (Kanye West) has again violated our rule against incitement to violence. The account will be suspended,» said the billionaire in response to a user who had asked him to reactivate the account.
«I want to clarify that his account is being suspended for incitement to violence, not an unflattering photo of me being scolded by Ari,» the mogul reiterated, alluding to a photo in which billionaire Ari Emanuel pours water down Musk’s back.
Kanye West’s publication comes hours after he claimed in an interview on the Infowars program, hosted by U.S. conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, that he likes the figure of Hitler.
«Of this guy (Hitler) who invented highways and invented the very microphone I use as a musician you can’t say out loud that he ever did anything good and I’m sick of that. I’ve had enough of classifications,» he said.
«There are a lot of things I like about Hitler. A lot of things,» Ye continued during his appearance on Infowars.
He also explained that «every human being has something of value», «especially Hitler». Elsewhere in the interview, the presenter is heard arguing that «most Jews are great people,» although he agrees that there is a «Jewish mafia.»
«I don’t like the word ‘evil’ next to (that of) Nazis,» the rapper has also said. «I love Jews, but I also love Nazis,» he has added, after which Jones has laughed, as collected by Billboard magazine.
