
Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro defended on Saturday that «the route is and will always be dialogue» with all sectors of the Venezuelan opposition.
«Our route is and will always be dialogue with all sectors of the Venezuelan opposition to create a climate of understanding and respect for the construction of the economic, political and social well-being of the Venezuelan people,» the Venezuelan president has stressed through a message posted on Twitter.
Maduro referred to the meeting held this Friday with representatives of the Democratic Alliance of the Venezuelan opposition, a meeting that took place at the Miraflores Palace, headquarters of the Venezuelan Presidency.
Representatives of the Government and the opposition will discuss an agenda of prioritized issues with future projection through work tables that will be developed for a period of 30 days.
Meanwhile, opposition leader Juan Guaidó, has indicated that he hopes that the negotiation process resumed in Mexico will bring about «better conditions for a free and fair election and that the social agreement will be respected to address hunger and hospitals».
