The Subcommission of Constitutional Accusations (SAC) has decided to shelve on Monday the constitutional complaints filed against the vice-president of Peru, Dina Boluarte, during her time as head of the board of directors of the Apurimac Departmental Club.

With thirteen votes in favor and eight against, the parliamentary working group, chaired by conservative Lady Camones, has given the green light to a report presented by congressman Edgard Reymundo, of Cambio Democrático, which recommends to file the complaints against her, as reported by the newspaper ‘La República’.

Boluarte was facing complaints filed by the congresswoman of Avanza País, Norma Yarrow, who assured that the Peruvian vice-president had violated articles 38 and 126 of the Constitution, thus committing crimes of omission, refusal or delay of functional acts.

In this way, the report presented by Raymundo affirms that none of the accusations sustain a violation to article 126 of the Constitution, so Boluarte would not have committed any of the crimes, according to the Peruvian RPP.

The ‘number two’ of the Peruvian Government previously questioned in the framework of this case that the congresswoman was «judge and party of the constitutional accusation procedure» and requested Camones to remove the congresswoman.
