
The number of people killed by heavy rains in the Philippines has risen to 13 while another 23 victims remain missing.
According to the daily report of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Relief Council (NDRRMC) released on Tuesday, the floods have affected a total of 166,357 people in six regions of the country while 45,382 have already been displaced to 87 evacuation centers.
As for damage to infrastructure, the report specifies that 534 homes and 22 buildings have been affected. Similarly, 56 cities have reported power outages and 4 water outages but there have been no telecommunications disruptions so far.
Due to the strong storm, classes and work have also been suspended in 67 cities, however, a state of emergency has only been declared in one of the regions.
