British fashion designer Vivienne Westwood died Thursday at the age of 81 at her home in Clapham, south of the UK capital London, her representatives said in a statement posted on her official Twitter profile.
Her husband and creative partner, Andreas Kronthaler, has assured that Westwood will live on in her heart. «We have been working until the end and she has given me a lot to go on with,» the BBC reported.
Westwood rose to fame in the 1970s with her androgynous punk and new wave designs. He ran a ‘boutique’ in the famous King’s Road, in the capital, along with the British producer of Sex Pistols, Malcolm McLaren.
