
Two members of the National Guard and a soldier from the 40th Infantry Battalion have been killed in an attack by a criminal group in the municipality of Santo Domingo in San Luis Potosi, Mexico.
The victims were participating in a surveillance operation in the community of San Juan Tuzal when they were ambushed by armed individuals who fled the scene after the attack.
Four more members of the National Guard and one member of the Army were wounded and have been transferred for medical attention to the hospital in the municipality of Charcas.
The State Civil Guard, Investigation Police (PDI) and federal forces have deployed a security device in the limits of the municipalities of Charcas and Santo Domingo to search for those responsible for the ambush. The State Attorney General’s Office has opened an investigation into the armed aggression.
