U.S. Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has called to «stop harboring» in the country former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, whom she has linked to Sunday’s «fascist» assault on Brazilian institutions.
«Almost two years ago the U.S. Capitol was attacked by fascists. There are fascist movements abroad that are trying to do the same in Brazil,» Ocasio-Cortez has pointed out in her Twitter account.
«We must stand in solidarity with the democratically elected government of (Brazilian President Luiz Inácio) Lula. The U.S. must stop harboring Bolsonaro in Florida,» she added.
Bolsonaro has been silent since the assault of his supporters to the headquarters of the three branches of government in Brasilia that has ended after several hours of riots following a police intervention.
