Former U.S. President Donald Trump said Friday that he could resolve the war in Ukraine in a matter of «24 hours» if he were to remain president of the United States.
«If I were president, the conflict between Russia and Ukraine would never have taken place. But even now, if I were, I could reach an agreement to end it in a matter of 24 hours,» he said in a message posted on his own social network, Truth Social.
Shortly before, the New York tycoon regretted the international dispatch of tanks to Ukraine considering that this «could increase hostilities». «First tanks, then come the nukes,» he said in a message in which he asked the current occupant of the White House, Joe Biden, to «put an end to this crazy war».
Biden announced on January 25 the decision to send 31 Abrams tanks to the country after almost a year of war. Subsequently, the Pentagon clarified that the shipment could not be made immediately since there are not that many tanks in U.S. arsenals.
