The President of Chile, Gabriel Boric, thanked this Sunday the President of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sánchez, for sending a contingent to collaborate in the extinction and control of the fires that are raging in the South American country, and which have already left more than twenty dead.
Sanchez stressed that Spain «knows well the drama of the forest fires» and has sent his support to the Chilean people, who for the moment have lamented the death of 23 people due to the dozens of fires that are burning the center-south of the country.
«Thank you very much Pedro, to you and to the Spanish people, for your quick support in these difficult moments,» the Chilean president said on his Twitter account, where he recalled that «solidarity crosses oceans».
