At least one person was killed Thursday in a shooting in the vicinity of Times Square in the U.S. city of New York, according to local authorities.
A 22-year-old man lost his life after being shot in the chest, with no other injuries reported, police told ‘The New York Times’.
Upon arrival at the scene of the incident, police officers found the victim alive and proceeded to transport him to a nearby hospital, where he eventually died.
Following this, the police have cordoned off the area and launched an investigation into the whereabouts of two suspects, according to the newspaper.
