The Russian Foreign Ministry has included in its ‘blacklist’ another 200 U.S. citizens, among them some parliamentarians and their relatives, as well as representatives of several NGOs and university professors.
As highlighted by the Russian diplomatic portfolio, this prohibition to enter the country follows the «personal sanctions constantly imposed» by the U.S. Administration, presided by Joe Biden.
Among those now sanctioned by Moscow are «individual representatives of authorities and legislators, as well as their close relatives, heads of enterprises and companies of the military complex, experts and pressure groups involved in the promotion of the Russophobic campaign and support for the Kiev regime».
The extensive list includes names such as White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre; Paul Pelosi, husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi; and President Biden’s siblings Valerie, James and Francis William Biden.
Still on Capitol Hill, Russia has included in its list of sanctions the Secretary of Health, Xavier Becerra; the Secretary of Agriculture, Thomas James Vilsack; his counterpart in Education, Miguel Angel Cardona; the Deputy Secretaries of Defense, Colin Hackett and Ronald Moultrie; or the Deputy Secretary of Labor, Martin Joseph Walsh.
In the educational field, university professors Margarita Balmaceda and George Grabowicz, both from Harvard; or Timothy David Snyder and Kristina Hook, from Yale and Kennesaw, respectively, stand out. There are also two journalists: Mateo Kaminski and Anne Applebaum.
Likewise, the sanctions also include members of NGOs such as Dmitri Alperovich, of Silverado Policy Accelerator; or Peter Dickinson, Frederick Kempe, Daniel Tannenbaum and Tomas Warrick, of the Atlantic Council NGO.
