
The death toll from Sunday’s fire at a flower warehouse on Komsomolskaya Square in Russia’s capital, Moscow, has risen to seven after rescue services located two victims inside the premises after the flames were extinguished.
Emergency services sources quoted by the Russian news agency TASS said that «the body of a seventh victim has been found», after the authorities had put the death toll at six and one injured. The fire was extinguished at around midnight, but the causes of the incident are not yet known.
Meanwhile, the death toll from a gas explosion early Saturday morning in a house on the Russian island of Sakhalin has risen to ten, including four children. The explosion affected all five floors of a residential building.
