The Russian presidency said Saturday that Russian leader Vladimir Putin plans to visit separatist Ukrainian regions controlled by Russian military forces «soon».
«Putin will soon visit the Donbas,» Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stressed, as reported by the Russian news agency TASS. «It will certainly happen in due time because it is part of the Russian Federation,» Zelenski stressed.
Last October 5 Putin signed the decree on the accession of four Ukrainian regions – Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporiyia and Kherson. The four areas were annexed following referendums considered illegal by Ukraine, the United States and its allies.
On the other hand, Peskov stressed that the recruitment process in Russia «has been completed».
