Russian authorities said Monday that President Vladimir Putin’s annual press conference will not take place until after the New Year, although he is scheduled to address the media beforehand on a number of issues.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the dates of these events will be announced after Putin’s address to the Federal Assembly is set, according to TASS news agency.
«Regarding the annual press conference yes, there won’t be one until the New Year, but we hope that the president will find a time to talk to journalists before that, as he does regularly, including when there are visits by foreign leaders,» he said.
However, he also did not talk about the date when Putin will speak before Congress and insisted that «it will be notified in due course».
