
At least one person has died and 23 more have been injured due to a collision between two trains on Line 3 of Mexico City’s Metro, the metropolis’ head of government, Claudia Sheinbaum, has confirmed.
«So far they report to me an unfortunate death, 23 people injured in hospitals,» Sheinbaum posted on Twitter.
The crash occurred around 9:15 a.m. Saturday morning at the intersection of La Raza station, forcing the suspension of service between Indios Verdes station to Guerrero station.
«The secretaries of Government, of Citizen Security, of Integral Risk Management, and the director of Metro arrived at the site. I am reporting and on my way. More information soon,» added the head of government.
