The demonstrators displayed banners with messages such as ‘Wanted for racism: Jair Bolsonaro’, ‘Wanted for racism: Santiago Abascal’, with their photographs, and ‘Free Lula’, as well as flags such as those of Brazil and the Second Spanish Republic.
SPEECHES During the act have intervened the deputy of ERC in the Congress Maria Carvalho Dantas, Brazilian; the president of the CUP in the Parliament, Dolors Sabater; Bernardo Corrêa, of the Brazilian party PSOL; and Vicente Cândido, of the Brazilian PT.
Carvalho said that the rally defends all minorities and disadvantaged people in Brazil, including indigenous people, women and the poor, and also said that «we must democratize the bodies and security forces in Brazil».
Sabater warned that what has happened in Brazil is happening in other countries and continents, and warned against Vox in Spain «occupying spaces of power».
According to Corrêa, Bolsonaro has to go to jail, and has cried out «in defense of democracy and the struggle of the people».
