Hon Hai Precision Industry, parent company of Foxconn Technology Group, the Taiwanese company responsible for the assembly of a large part of the iPhone sold worldwide, achieved a record turnover of 660,363 million Taiwanese dollars (20,393 million euros) last January, after its Zhengzhou plant in the Chinese province of Henan returned to normality following the lifting of restrictions due to COVID-19.
Thus, Foxconn’s revenues in the first month of 2023 showed an increase of 48.1% compared to the same month last year, while they were up 4.9% compared to December 2022.
«With operations returning to normal and increased shipments at the Zhengzhou campus, revenue in January generated month-on-month growth,» the manufacturer noted, pointing to double-digit monthly and year-on-year growth in the smart consumer electronics segment.
Likewise, the computer products business experienced «strong double-digit year-on-year growth and significant month-on-month growth» following improved component supply and stronger customer acquisition.
Looking ahead to the first quarter as a whole, the company said that, according to market consensus, January revenues were slightly ahead of expectations, so the outlook for the first quarter is likely to meet market expectations.
