The French Embassy in Moscow received on Wednesday night a package with bones, which after scanning were found to be those of a small animal, under a false sender, the name of the Italian film producer Pietro Notarianni, who died in 2006.
Inside the package, presumably, there are bones of a small animal or bird. The package was taken out of the Embassy and the police were called,» a diplomatic source told the Russian television channel REN TV.
The same source said the package was marked ‘Mail from Russia’. This is not the first time that the French Embassy in Moscow has received suspicious packages since the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
Already in June 2022, the diplomatic mission in the Russian capital received another package with bones and a letter in French, and in December another similar bundle, but with a dead mouse and a spider. Both had the late Notarianni as sender.
