The U.S. Armed Forces have detected the existence of a new balloon that has flown over U.S. territory, this time over the coast of Hawaii.

The Army has been tracking the balloon since late last week, since it was first detected last Friday.

Finally, after verifying that it has not flown over sensitive U.S. Government sites, they have assured that it does not represent a threat to air traffic or national security, as reported by NBC.

However, it is not clear if it is a weather balloon or if it could be of another type. Authorities are also unclear about its ownership, although they have ruled out that it belongs to China, as happened in February, when it managed to shoot down an aircraft over the Atlantic.
