The Ukrainian Armed Forces have claimed to have repelled in the last hours an offensive by Russian forces against two localities located in the Kharkov region (east) and have raised to more than 37,500 the total number of Russian servicemen killed since the beginning of the fighting, triggered on February 24 by the invasion order of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The General Staff of the Russian Army has pointed out in its account on the social network Facebook that «the Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled the assault in the direction of the settlements of Dovhenke and Dolina», although it has recognized that «it is not excluded that the enemy will continue to carry out offensive operations to improve its tactical position and create favorable conditions to carry out an offensive in the direction of Izium and Sloviansk».

He also stressed that the Russian forces in Kharkov «focus their main efforts on defense» and denounced artillery attacks on several localities against the city of Kharkov and several localities in its vicinity and in the vicinity of Sloviansk and Bakhmut.

On the other hand, he put the number of military personnel killed in the war at «about 37,570», including about 100 during the last day, before adding that 1,649 tanks, 839 artillery systems and 247 self-propelled and armored multiple rocket launchers have been destroyed since the beginning of the fighting.

In this line, he stressed that 217 aircraft, 188 helicopters, 109 air defense systems, 2,704 vehicles and fuel tanks, 15 ships and 678 drones have also been destroyed, while 155 cruise missiles have been shot down.

«The Russian enemy suffered the heaviest losses over the past day in the Mikolaiv direction,» he said, while noting that «the data is being updated.» «Beat the occupier. Let’s win together. Our strength is in the truth,» he concluded.
