Ukrainian authorities on Monday reported three dead and nearly 30 wounded in an attack by Russian forces on the eastern city of Kharkov as part of a military offensive launched on February 24 on the orders of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
«According to the information updated by the regional center of Emergency Medical Assistance, 28 people have been injured (…) as a result of the artillery attack on Kharkov. Three people are dead,» said the head of the Kharkov Regional Military Administration, Oleg Sinegubov.
Thus, he said that all the wounded «have been hospitalized in medical facilities» and added that among the victims there are two minors aged four and 16, according to a brief message posted on his Telegram account.
Russian forces attacked the city with rockets overnight Sunday, one of which hit a residential building. Sinegubov confirmed new attacks early Monday and called on the population «not to be on the streets if it is not necessary.» «It is extremely dangerous,» he has warned.
